| 24/03/2009 SPORTS AND CULTURAL DAY 2009 | The Minor Board Sports and Cultural Day will be held on Saturday 11th July 2009,at Goodmayes Hospital Social Club Grounds, Barley Lane.

| 24/03/2009 Saint Patrick's Day Tournament 2009 - Chelmsford | A brilliant day was had by all that attended the Saint Patrick's Day Gaelic Football Tournament in Chelmsford from 11-2.30pm, and we were certainly blessed with the weather.
Four primary schools enjoyed great football with 2 schools from Chelmsford St Pius X and Our Lady Immaculate, together with St Mary's Hornchurch and SS Peter and Paul's, Ilford.
Bar B Q, tea/coffee/shamrock/cake/biscuits and soft drinks were provided as well as 2 displays by irish dancers of various ages.
Trial Youth referees were called in especially in the form of Dominic Zincraft and Josef Oates who were tested well, and coached on the sideline by Mick Heron.
The organisation was second to none and all credit to Aiden Spence for the great job that he did and was well rewarded with a crate of Guinness for his efforts!
Support was provided by members of Thomas Mcurtains Minors and parents as well as a few seniors which was appreciated!
Thanks to Don McDonald and Mariead Gray for bringing team from SS Peter and Pauls.Vinny Fahey and Seamus Tattan in providing transport for St Mary's, and for Karen Togher and Yvonne Morley for attending and refereeing, and anyone else that helped on the day that I have forgotten to mention.
Looking forward to next year already!!

| 03/02/2009 New Club Crest | We have had our first official club crest designed. Visit www.thomasmccurtains.com to have a look(at top of page). Hopefully we'll see it on different pieces of kit this year and in the years to come. We hope to make a variety of club memrobilia, featuring the crest, available for members to purchase this year.
Club membership for 2009( £20) is now due from all members.Hurlers are alos requested to make an additional payment of £20 towards the cost of hurleys.Please contact Denis Doherty (Treasurer) or any committee member. |
